GreenWR was formed in 2022 as a result of a development application in Wilmot Township.
The development proposal was the impetus to pursue a better way to develop communities.
The Toronto Green Standard (2010) was designed to encourage developers to build housing that reduces the effect of climate change and enhances the community. This work was further developed by East Gwillimbury (2012), and Halton Hills (2014),

Since 2022
Since 2022, it has become obvious that the main problem facing our communities is the burning of fossil fuels and the generation of Greenhouse Gases.
We are now focusing our efforts on using Green Development Standards to reduce GHG emissions.
